1. Fill BCECE Form:
Candidates are required to fill out the BCECE form by paying a fee of 1000 rupees. This form serves as the initial step to enroll for the entrance exam icar candidates can fill form /5 sheats in all 5 colleges for icar students.
2. Preparation for Entrance Exam:
Candidates are advised to prepare for the entrance exam, which usually spans a period of 2 to 3 months. The recommended study material includes previous NCERT books on biology, chemistry, and agriculture.
3. Offline Examination:
BCECE is conducted as an offline examination. Candidates are provided with an OMR sheat to mark their answers using a black or blue pen. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions, with each subject comprising 100 questions.
4. Marking Scheme:
Candidates are awarded 4 marks for each correct answer. However, a deduction of 1 mark is made for every wrong answer.
5. Medium of Instruction:
Although all the books available at the college are in English, the teachers make an effort to teach in Hindi for better understanding. Candidates can choose to attempt the examination only in English.
6. Rank-based Selection:
The university selects candidates based on their ranks. For VKSCOa, the rank requirement ranges from 75 to 500.
7. Selection and Admission:
Once selected, candidates receive an email notification and are required to submit their original previous academic documents along with an admission fee of 10,000 rupees. They are expected to join classes within the next 10 days.
8. Facilities:
The college provides various facilities such as hostels, playgrounds, and a canteen. Hostel accommodation is provided free of cost to all students, but they need to pay for their mesh charges.

9. Examination Structure:
The college conducts three types of exams at intervals of six months: midterm, practical, and external exams. The midterm exam covers half the syllabus, and students need to score a minimum of 25 out of 50 marks to pass. The practical exam includes a practical copy, an assignment, and a viva conducted by the course head. The external exam is the final exam for each semester, and students need to score a minimum of 25 marks to pass. A score below 45 in a subject results in failure, so a 50% result is necessary.

10. Eight Semesters:
The course spans four years and consists of eight semesters. The last two semesters focus on practical work, farm visits, own business development, and extension-based work.
